Compressor Compatibility & Sourcing

Klima compressor upgrade kits require the use of specific compressors. Though there are many different types of universal ear mount compressors on the market, proper belt alignment, proper functioning of brackets, proper strain relief of compressor manifold, and proper hose routing are all important factors which make the use of the correct compressor necessary. 1. Sanden 508/SD5H14 or “Sanden-style” 508 compressors (5 Cylinder). There are a variety of heads and clutches available for this family of compressors. Sanden Part Number 6630 or Part Number 6676 offer the correct drop-in compatibility needed for our full kits. These compressors are fitted with a “K” type horizontal port head (3/4-16 and 7/8-14 o-ring fitting ports) and a double groove 132mm clutch pulley for 1/2″ belts. These compressors are a popular and excellent choice.

2. Sanden 709/SD7H15 or “Sanden-style” 709 compressors (7 Cylinder). There are a variety of heads and clutches available for this family of compressors. Sanden Part Number 4272 offers the correct drop-in compatibility needed for our full kits. These compressors are fitted with a “KG” type horizontal port head (3/4-16 and 7/8-14 o-ring fitting ports) and a double groove 132mm clutch pulley for 1/2″ belts. These compressors are a popular and excellent choice.
